How to allow browser camera access

Start with the browser prompt

Choose Start camera above. Allow camera access when the browser asks. Merely opening the page does not turn your camera on. If you dismissed or blocked the prompt earlier, you may need to change the saved permission before trying again.

Chrome or Edge on a computer

Open the site controls beside the address bar, find the camera permission and allow access for this site. You can also search the browser settings for Camera and review blocked sites. Reload this page after changing a saved permission, then choose Start camera. Labels vary with browser version.

Safari and phone permissions

In Safari, review the website camera permission from the page menu or Safari settings. Also check whether your operating system permits the browser to use the camera. On Android, review the browser app’s Camera permission in device settings. Return here and retry after changing the setting.

No camera found, busy camera or black preview

Check that your camera is connected and not disabled by a hardware switch. Close other apps or tabs that may be using it. If the preview cannot start, reload and retry. Open the site directly in a normal browser tab if an embedded browser is blocking camera access.

Camera works but face effects do not

The camera permission and face-tracking download are separate. If Normal works but face props do not, wait for the model or use Retry face effects. A blocked connection or graphics limitation can affect tracking. Try a portrait or art filter while troubleshooting.

Microphone permission is separate

Taking photos does not request audio access. Recording a video with sound requests the microphone. Turn off Record sound in videos in Camera settings for silent recording. For further help, contact the site with your browser and device type; do not send private captures.

NO DOWNLOAD. NO BIG PRODUCTION.
